Cloud computing is being over-hyped, I believe. While certainly it aids in certain areas, people still want "hard" copies of their programs, local copies of their files, etc. Given recent jumps in Hard Drive technology, there is no reason that they cannot manage to keep everything they need local.
The Social spending concept also has its challenges, ie: stalking made way too easy.
