Posted 21 days ago I got a job at a call center for Monster- it's interesting and there are opportunities to move up internally. I recommend being creative, taking jobs even if they aren't perfect as long as they are places that you can see long term potential, then, once on the inside you can try to finagle a new opportunity, why not- I already have the facetime right?

Posted 12 days ago Erika, that's a great statement about taking a job because it would provide additional opportunities. I have an interview Monday for Hertz. It pays almost less than half what I was making before, but it will provide a lot of opportunities for growth. My degree is in Management and I was getting discouraged because any job I qualified for with my degree wanted you to already have experience. I was overqualified for the jobs I could get with my current level of experience because of my degree.

Posted 6 days ago My interview yesterday went really well (other than the fact my car overheated on the way up there...and again on the way back). They called today because they were concerned about my commute (it will be about an hour). Somehow they got my city wrong and thought it would be almost three hours. The HR Coordinator said she would call the interviewer back to clarify the matter. I haven't heard anything yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Posted 5 days ago Hertz told me the same thing. They told me if I was open to relocating, I would have a ton more opportunities.

Posted 4 days ago I'm so excited. I got a call today from Kids Central. They asked me to come in Tuesday for an interview for the Budget Analyst position. This is a great organization that provides services for children and families and I would really love to work for them...plus it would be a lot closer to home. With the Hertz position I would have to quit the public speaking organization I just joined. I won "Best Speaker" for my first speech last night. I was scared to death and I only had 24 hours to prepare...but it went very well. Wish me luck!
