Unemployment has robbed Saturday of signifigance.  Everyday is a weekend/everyday is a day i SHOULD be applying for jobs.

Anybody else notice this?

Hi, even if you dont have a job you need to schedule your time like you do...Otherwise weekends dont have signifigance.  Its better to work like a full time job applying for jobs and networking all week and then relaxing a little over the weekend to recharge your batteries. Do you agree?

Definitely agree! After six months of full-time job hunting, I burned out. After I was told by one recruiter that her company wasn't really hiring but they needed to meet quotas, I gave up. I've stopped looking for two months now, and I've just recently decided to start job hunting again. My reason: everyday felt like the same day over and over. I can't stand it anymore!

Im gonna search for jobs monday-thursday and take Friday off.  Relax saturday, look around but not stress sunday and then hit the grind again on monday.

I like that taking the day off on Friday idea.  If you really work your booty off all week then you deserve the break.

i agree, it's hard striking a balance between searching for jobs and enjoying the "time off" you've been gifted with.  i'm fortunate enough to be collecting and have no family to provide for, but there's still this guilt i feel when i don't search for jobs on a given day.

It's hard to for me to balance improving my resume and job search.  I tend to take job search as a priority.
