Posted 2 months ago I had internships at a lot of companies and although I think they taught me valuble skills that helped me land the job I have now, I ended up not working for any of those companies. They were super cool and I would have liked to work at them, but I just wanted to see what else was out there.
Did your internship turn into a job? |

| Posted about 1 month ago I never interned when I was in college- I just kept taking jobs as a waiter/server in restaurants--Now I wish I had done like you did Currin. Any advice on getting an internship when you already graduated? |

| Posted 14 days ago Before graduation I was required to intern in my area of study. I studied legal office administration and got an internship at the prosecuting attorney's office in the county I was from. I was there for my last semester and wasn't hired on after graduation. I wasn't expecting to be hired though either. It is government work, and there just wasn't/isn't any more money for new hires. I did learn that I really do love that kind of work. The environment was great and I cried on my last day, I just didn't want to leave! What really did get to me though, was they have a girl that works part-time there doing exactly what I was doing as an intern. She slacked off for most of the day, and was going to school to become a nurse (TOTALLY UNRELATED). While I'm there, working my butt off, and paying money to get a job in this field that I love, she's doing everything she can to get out. UGH! |

| Posted 14 days ago I had an internship this summer with a company in KC, but they were unable to offer me a full time spot. Economy is causing them to lighten up on hiring, but I am very grateful for the time and experience I had there. (Very nice paycheck as well)
Also, lovelady_andy the best way to get an Internship is either through people you know or using your campuses career services. Companies will sometimes Intern as low as Sophomore students and I would pounce on any opportunity like that. |

| Posted 14 days ago Yep, legal secretary. Although sometimes secretaries get roped into playing the part of a paralegal as well, they just don't get the credit or salary for it....lol I figured when I entered the program there'd be jobs a-pleanty, I mean...how hard is it to find a secretarial job? Well, when they want you to have 3 years of experience in one single "aspect of the law" it is! |
