I'm receiving a full pale grant, but this barely covers classes and books. I'm working on a dual degree for both wind & solar energy technician and need money to pay monthly bills on. I don't have time to work with the 26 credit hrs. and am wondering if it's ok to get a student loan for this or if this isn't possible without loosing the pale grant or messing up my scholarship? Thank you for your time!

Dear Mr Kantro,
I am a bit confused by the simplified means formula. We qualified this year as I filed a 1040A as the parent and my son who is the student also filed his own 1040A as a dependent of mine. If next year, I still file a 1040A but my son, who will still be my dependent, has to file a 1040, and all of the other criteria remain the same with total household income under $50,000 will we still qualify for the simplified means test?
A shorter version of the question, I guess, might be does FAFSA require all household members to file 1040a or 1040ez or is it just the parents return status that is considered in qualifying for for the automatic zero efc, when the student is still a dependent but filing his own return?
Appreciate you very much.
Thanks

I am beginning an unpaid internship in the Parks and Recreation Department of Austin, TX in 2 weeks and am wondering if there are grants or stipends available. I am a Florida resident and student at Florida State University.

I am 24 yrs old, I am trying to finish my bachelor's in psychology (about 6-8 classes away from recieving this degree) and my federal student aid is at the max. I can no longer recieve anymore federal student loans. I am trying to find other funding options but due to a low credit score i have not been able to find any private student loans and i have no one to co-sign. I have also tried to find scholarships and grants but have been unsuccessful, most of the ones I am finding are scams. Could you please help me?

Hello, I am 35 years old and looking to go back to college to get a 2nd B.S. degree. Since it is my second degree, I am not eligible for grants and a lot of financial aid. Is there any financial aid resources available besides private loans to help pay for living expenses while I am in school?

Hello I am a single mom over the age of 40. I complete my ASN in 2001, to get a higher paying job I must start my BSN-MSN to be in administration.
I do not have the Financiers to back a loan, credit is not there and the score is worst.
How do I get the money needed to do this?
Thank you
